Tables for guests that have reservations or are on a waitlist can have a table preassigned to them in three ways.
First, by double tapping a waitlist bubble and accessing the waitlist or reservation profile, the table can be assigned by pressing the blue table assignment button in the upper right corner. The current suggested table assignment is indicated by a blue table. Pressing any non-red table will cause the table to be reassigned. Red tables represent conflicts with other parties.
The second way to pre-assign tables is to use the Table Scheduler button, located at the top right of the Schedule View screen. Select a party in the column on the left you wish to assign a table. The current suggested assignment is in blue. Pressing any non-red table will cause the table to be reassigned. In this view, you can select another party for reassignment. Press Save when finished and the “X” to close the window. If you try to save a table assignment that is not large enough to accommodate the party, you will get an error message warning you of this fact and giving you the opportunity to assign more tables. A manager can override the warning and save the table assignment, while a host cannot.
The third way to assign tables is using the Upcoming Mode button in the Main Floor view designated with an icon having a clock and an R lock. Once in Upcoming Mode, parties can be assigned to tables by pressing on the party you want to move, and dragging them to a different table. During a shift, we strongly recommend using this table assignment method and not the first two methods.
